Ana Rita da Costa Simões is a Portuguese Portrait Artist, Children’s Book Illustrator, Character Designer, Mixed Media Artist and Graphic Designer.
The habit of drawing in graphic diaries began in 2006, and today Ana Rita owns a collection of more than 155 diaries chronicling her artistic journey to the present.
With numerous portrait commissions sold, Ana Rita's work also embraces illustrations for children's books published by various publishers.
Ana Rita gives classes of Introduction to Drawing and Visual Arts at Centro Cultural e recreativo do alto do Moinho, CCRAM, Seixal, Setúbal.
She also runs Drawing Workshops.

Ana Rita holds a Bachelor's Degree in Global Design and a Master’s in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication from IADE University in Lisbon.
The master’s dissertation “Process of Character Design for Animated Films: An Analysis of Elderly Characters” reflects Ana Rita’s deep dedication and passion for the field.
